VELFAC designs well-known handle in new optimised material
VELFAC is introducing a new material for its well-known design handle. This is a composite material with a steel core and with the same matt chrome plated surface finish as the old espagnolette handle.
"In connection with the development of our new window range - VELFAC 200 Helo - 
we deciced to find a new way to construct the espagnolette handle so that it is always pleasantly 'warm' to the touch," says Andy Cook, VELFAC Ltd.
The new handle has passed all durability tests with flying colours, and so VELFAC has begun to introduce the handle in its other window ranges.
"We are already delivering all the products in the VELFAC 400 ranges with the new handle, and we're starting to implement them in VELFAC 200 as well," says Andy Cook.
There is no visual difference between the old and new handles. Also, the functionality is exactly the same in terms of daily use, lubrication and servicing.
Introducing the new composite material espagnolette handle provides:

Better thresholds for patio and sliding-glass doors
VELFAC introduces new thresholds made from the ground-breaking, extra durable material known as HELO® composite material, which is characterised by a lifetime of at least 40-60 years.
HELO composite material is composed of 82 percent fine glass filaments embedded in polyurethane, which is hardened in a sophisticated process.
The new threshold has the same height as the threshold it is replacing and is used in VELFAC 100 balcony doors, VELFAC 200i patio doors and VELFAC 600 sliding-glass doors.
In order to ensure water-tightness in sliding-glass doors leading inside, we have installed a new and improved weather sealing on the bottom of the door.
The overall result is reinforced by using thresholds made of HELO composite material.

Acoustic trickle vent
Efficient glazing is fundmental to noise control, and fresh air is essential to our wellbeing. Until recently, window vents were not an option in buildings where noise control was required, but the VELFAC acoustic vent offers new opportunities.
VELFAC installation lug
To ensure you a fast, stable and durable window installation we have developed a system customised installation lug for VELFAC 200 windows, patio doors and sliding window doors. By twisting the new installation lug into the frame groove and the window is ready to be screwed into the structural opening.
